I will offer you a supportive and confidential space to explore what's happening in your life that has led you to seek counselling.. I invite you to get in touch and begin your journey to healing
Hi, I'm Helen. As an experienced counsellor, I am here to walk alongside young people and adults on their personal journeys. My mission is to offer you a safe, comfortable, and confidential space where you can explore any difficulties you may face in your life.
I offer face-to-face sessions in Central Wellington but if you are located elsewhere, I also provide online sessions UK-wide. I work with both young people and adults, creating a compassionate and supportive environment to help put you at ease.
In addition to traditional talking therapy, I integrate creative approaches into my practice. This does not require any artistic skills from you. Instead, it means I may use alternative methods to help you explore and express emotions that might be difficult to articulate with words alone.
Each session is unique and tailored to the individual. I offer a comfortable space for you to gently explore your feelings. Specialising in creative therapies, I provide alternative methods for those who find it difficult to express emotions verbally.
You do not need to be artistic; these methods are optional, and talking is always welcome. Some of the creative methods I use include:
I haven’t always been a counsellor, but I have always loved working with people. I qualified as a youth worker in 2000 and began my counselling training in 2001 after experiencing my own transformative counselling journey at university.
I qualified as a counsellor in 2005 and have since developed my skills through diverse opportunities, including working in a children's hospice, various schools, and adult education.
I have worked with charity organisations such as: Barnardo's, The Green House and Mind as well as offering support in schools and collages. I am passionate about my work and ensure I offer a safe space for clients and supervisee's.
This graceful creature embodies transformation, signalling a shift in perspective, energy, and potential. It carries the wisdom of adaptability, symbolising joy and lightness of being. The red dragonfly invites you to delve deeper into your emotions, encouraging personal growth and exploration of your inner self.
Our past or present issues can impact our well-being. In a confidential, judgment-free space, you can explore these issues, make choices, and find inner peace.
Reaching out to a counsellor takes courage, but I offer a safe, therapeutic relationship to ease this process. Unlike family or friends, a counsellor provides impartiality and freedom from judgment, allowing you to openly explore your thoughts and feelings.
While talking may not change every situation, a counsellor offers tools to help you cope and guides you in finding your own solutions for healing and self-discovery. I am here to support you on your journey towards feeling happier and more comfortable in your life.
Let’s walk this path together.
